PENN SKATES IS HIRING!   Penn Skates Kidz Academy is now accepting applications for Preschool and Pre-K teachers, as well as an After School Teachers. Positions will be part time with working hours between 7am and 6pm M-F. Experience in a licensed childcare center and/or a degree in early childhood education or human development preferred. All employees will be required to obtain the following:

      Child Abuse Clearance
      Criminal Background Check
      FBI Clearance
      Physical ( within the last year)
      TB test ( within the last year)

FAQS

Do you charge for parents to watch?
We do not charge admission for parents to watch their children during regular public skating sessions. We are glad that you are here!

However, we do have a few special events where everyone must pay to enter, whether skating or not.

If my friends are coming to skate, do I need to pay if I'm only going to hang out with them?
Yes. Everyone entering must pay admission
(with the exception of parents watching their children).

What size skates do you rent?
Quads: Toddler: size 8 - Adult: size 15
Inlines: Kids: size 10 - Adult: size 14

Can I bring my own skates?
Yes. Your skates must not be defective in any way or have dirty wheels. The Manager reserves the right to decide whether you can use your own skates.

Can I wear my Heelys?
No.

Can I use a laptop at Penn Skates?
Yes. We have wireless internet. Enjoy our free WIFI.

Do you sell Gift Certificates?
Yes. They can be purchased in any denomination during public skating hours.

Can I bring in food from the outside?
No. There is no outside food or drinks are allowed in the building. The only exception is if you have a scheduled Birthday Party. You may bring a cake or cupcakes only. Birthday parties that have not reserved a party package may not bring a cake or cupcakes, nor may they bring anything party oriented.
1.	I am bringing my children to Penn Skates, but I will not be skating.  Do I have to pay admission?
No, there is no charge for adult spectators.
2.	 We did not schedule a birthday party package, but will be bringing a group of my child's friends 
to skate and celebrate their birthday.  May I bring a cake?
No outside food or drink may be brought into the facility.  You can purchase mini cupcakes at Penn Skates, 
$6.50 for 2 dozen.  
3.	 Do you have group rates?
We offer discounts for groups of 15 or more during most public skating sessions.  Please call ahead or 
email for details. 

4.	  Can we bring riding toys to the public skating sessions?
Riding toys, with at least 3 wheels, are allowed only during the Family Skate and Private Birthday parties. 
5.	 Do you have internet access?
Yes, Wifi is available. 
6.	 Will my child be allowed to go outside during a skating session?
There are no in and out privileges for anyone under age 18.  ID with proof of age is required. 
7.	 What is the cost for skate rental?
Skate rental is $3 for quad or inline skates. 
8.	 Can I wear my heely skating shoes on the skating floor?
No, heelies are not allowed.
